Frenchman BacarySagna has backed Arsenal for the Premier League title this season as he is certain that the North London team can push defending champions Manchester City all the way in the battle for the title. BacarySagna talked about Arsenal as a genuine Premier League title contender in a chat with Betway earlier this month. He had been impressed with the start made by the Gunners in this season's Premier League campaign.

Arsenal are the team to beat in the opening weeks of the Premier League this season after winning six of their seven games including the first five. The Gunners have a one-point lead over the duo of Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the table.

During the aforementioned interview, Sagna also pointed out that Manchester City are still the favourites to win the Premier League title after winning four of the last five titles. Liverpool were the other winning team from the last five editions of the Premier League, but Sagna is not convinced that they would give City a run for their money in the Premier League title race like they have done over the years as they are not the same without Senegalese star Sadio Mane who left the club to sign for German side Bayern Munich in the summer.
Liverpool are ninth on the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from six games and they are nine points adrift of leaders Arsenal who have played a game more. They started the season with two draws and one defeat from thus leaving them to play catchup on the top three teams namely Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.
